Our coffee beans are supplied by Allpress, they renowned coffee
Michael Allpress decided to chase his love of traditional Italian espresso in 1986, leaving behind his career as a chef.
He built a coffee cart and began serving the largely unfamiliar espresso drinks in a local Auckland market. Very quickly, his obsession with flavour led him to source his own beans and begin roasting coffee. This fresh approach to flavour quickly generated interest from cafes and restaurants across the country and Michaels focus shifted from cart operator to specialty coffee roaster.
WHEN SELECTING BEANS THEIR APPROACH IS SIMPLE, THEY LOOK FOR THE BEST TO MAKE EXCEPTIONAL TASTING COFFEE.
Finding top-quality Arabica beans is a perennial task, so they invest a lot of time looking for small farms, estates and co-ops that are sustainably managed with high standards of agricultural practice and specialise in high grade beans. They form direct relationships with these growers so their supply arrangements are made with people managing the farms.
At Juju Coffee, we use the Carmelo blend. One of their most popular blends, the Carmelo is lively and full bodied with distinct caramel flavours. It is a medium roast consisting of beans from the regions of Colombia, Sumatra, Brazil and Guatemala.
